There has been some confusion regarding the final list of games ever since PS Plus Extra and Deluxe launched in Asia. Sony promised 400 games in the Extra tier, but users found the final tally to be less. Furthermore, different versions of the same game, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on PS4 and PS5, seem to count as two separate games. This has naturally led to a lot of confusion, with many users thinking that they will not get anywhere near 400 and 700 games in the Extra and Premium tiers, respectively. However, it now looks like the selection of titles will vary by region.

The new PlayStation Plus launched in Japan today, and as per Push Square, users have access to a bigger library compared to the Asian version. This list includes some titles only available in Japan, but other games released worldwide are also a part of the service. For example, Fallout 4 and Prey from Bethesda are included in the Japanese line-up despite their omission from the Asian one. The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope and Enter the Gungeon are similarly a part of this list and absent from the Asian release.

Push Square mentions that many of these games were a part of PlayStation Now. PS Now was only available in select regions, which could be a possible reason for this discrepancy. Interested customers will likely have to wait for the service to launch in their region to see a complete list, but it looks like members in the rest of the world will get more games than subscribers in Asia.

It should be noted that the current PS Plus model remains the same, and all subscriptions will change to the Essential tier on launch. So, members across all tiers will continue to get monthly games, and yesterday, Sony confirmed the PlayStation Plus lineup for June 2022. Users can add God of War, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl to their accounts starting June 7, and they will have until July 4 to claim these games. Although, many users seem confused by God of War’s inclusion, as it’s currently a part of the PS Plus Collection and can also be purchased for a relatively low price.
