PS Plus Extra added 17 games to the library in December 2022, with another title joining in January. This list includes Far Cry 5, Judgment, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire – Ultimate Edition, Worms W.M.D, and more. WWE 2K22 is coming to PS Plus Extra on January 3, but only the PS4 version of the game will be added. Sony has also now revealed the list of games leaving PS Plus in January 2023.

Bound by Flame, Shiness: The Lightning Kingdom, The Council - The Complete Season, and Space Hulk: Tactics will leave PS Plus Extra according to updates to their respective pages on the PlayStation Store. Fans can see a confirmation of them being a part of the PS Plus catalog, but the line right below it states that the offer is only valid till January 17, 2023. So, PS Plus members interested in these four games have around a month to finish their playthroughs.

Sony often updates the PlayStation Store with the same disclaimer whenever a game is set to leave PS Plus. As a recent example, the updated store page for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla confirmed that it would leave PS Plus Extra on December 20. The same was true when Soma left the service in October 2022.
Despite the four games leaving PS Plus, members can soon try out new ones because the library refreshes on December 20. The games added to PS Plus Extra in December are fairly long, with Yakuza: Like a Dragon needing around 45 hours for players to finish the story. Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire - UItimate Edition is the longest game joining Extra, and users will take around 69 hours just to complete the main story.
While PS Plus subscribers will no longer have access to these four titles, users who redeem the free monthly games can play them for as long as they are a member. The final list of the year seems solid as well, as Sony offered Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Biomutant, and Divine Knockout to PlayStation Plus subscribers in December 2022 at no extra cost.
