PS Plus Extra’s lineup of games work differently than the free PS Plus games that subscribers are able to claim every month. Like PlayStation Now, the PS Plus Extra games rotate in and out of availability, and subscribers aren’t able to claim them to keep for their collection. Because of this, two games are set to leave the PS Plus Extra lineup later this month.

Shadow Warrior 3 is leaving PS Plus Extra starting July 5. Shadow Warrior 3 is a first-person shooter game and the latest installment in the popular Shadow Warrior series. Shadow Warrior 3 was a day one PlayStation Now game, and it seemed like Sony was using it to test the waters of how it could better compete with Xbox Game Pass. This was before the PS Plus revamp occurred, of course.
PS Plus Extra Games Leaving July 2022 List
Shadow Warrior 3 - July 5 Syberia - July 19
Shadow Warrior 3 isn’t the only game being removed from PS Plus Extra in July 2022. Syberia is also being removed from the lineup, with its removal date currently scheduled for July 19. Syberia is an adventure game series that has earned mostly positive reviews, so anyone that’s interested in the genre should be sure to check it out while it’s still available. There should be plenty of time for PlayStation Plus subscribers to complete it between now and when it’s being removed from PS Plus Extra on July 19.
Shadow Warrior 3 and Syberia are the only two games leaving PS Plus Extra in July, but there are other removals on the horizon. While it doesn’t seem as though PS Plus Extra subscribers have to worry about the vast majority of PS Plus Extra games being removed at any point in the near future, the Red Dead Redemption series are all set to be removed by the end of the year. Red Dead Redemption 2 is being removed on September 20, while the original Red Dead Redemption and its popular standalone expansion Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare are being removed on October 17.
