Starting December 20, PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers can play Far Cry 5, Far Cry New Dawn, Far Cry Primal, Mortal Shell, Judgment, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, The Pedestrian, Evil Genius 2, Adventure Time Pirates of the Enchiridion, Ben 10: Power Trip, Gigantosaurus The Game, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire – Ultimate Edition, Worms W.M.D, and The Escapists 2. WWE 2K22 will also be added to PS Plus Extra and Premium on January 3, 2023.

Overall, the PS Plus Extra lineup includes a good variety of titles across different genres. The three Far Cry games are coming as a part of Ubisoft+ Classics, a subscription service that offers older Ubisoft games at no extra cost to Extra and Premium users. However, users should note that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is scheduled to leave PS Plus on the same day.
Sony had earlier confirmed that the entire mainline Yakuza franchise will be a part of PS Plus by the end of 2022, with Yakuza 6: The Song of Life being the last game starring series protagonist Kazuma Kiryu. Curiously, Yakuza: Like a Dragon was a free monthly PS Plus game in August 2022, so new members in the higher tiers can now play it without paying anything extra.
While Sony adds both PS4 and PS5 editions for most games, only the PS4 version of WWE 2K22 is coming to PS Plus Extra. Even though PS5 owners can still run the PS4 version, users will miss out on an enhanced edition of the game. Regardless, WWE 2K22 was well-received upon its launch earlier in 2022, with some calling it a big step in the right direction for the franchise.
