Project Winter, for those who aren’t familiar, is a social deduction game not entirely unlike Among Us. It’s a multiplayer game in which players work not just to survive but to root out anonymous traitors in the team’s midst. Rather than being set in space, however, Project Winter is set in a desolate frozen wasteland. And rather than perform randomized mini-games, Project Winter is driven by survival mechanics, exploration, and teamwork.

The game will feature a robust feature set, too. 8 players will be able to participate in a given match, and with cross-platform play supporting both PC and console players will be able to find their friends easily. Also available via a premium will be Project Winter’s first expansion, Blackout. The expansion adds new traitor roles, as well as new survivors.
According to Project Winter developer Other Ocean, the game will officially launch on Xbox Game Pass on January 26. It’ll be available not just on Xbox Game Pass for console, but on Xbox Game Pass for PC, too. As noted, it supports crossplay so all Project Winter players can play together. Add it to the list of awesome Xbox Game Pass additions in January.
Project Winter is available now on PC and is coming to Xbox soon.
