Out of the eight teams from last season, seven of them have opted to retain a player each, while the Jaipur Pink Panthers have chosen not to retain any of their players from season four. Marking their geographical expansion, the upcoming season will feature12 franchises from 11 states, with four new teams joining the existing eight.
