Boston law enforcement responded to a radio call notifying them of the Columbus statue’s beheading at around 12:30 a.m. ET on Wednesday, a representative from the police department told Newsweek. The protest was carried out by The Real Facebook Oversight Board (RFOB), a group that is part of the United Kingdom-based nonprofit investigative group The Citizens. Alex Williams, a transfer student who has only just recently moved to the university, said she found around a dozen extremist stickers on campus on September 12, which she removed herself.
