Some PS4 and PS5 gamers choose not to sign up for PlayStation Plus, and so those gamers are left unable to play their multiplayer games online. Sometimes PlayStation removes the PS Plus requirement for online multiplayer games, and one such occasion is happening later this month. From August 27 to August 28, PS4 and PS5 gamers can take advantage of the Online Multiplayer Weekend, which will let them play the online multiplayer modes in their games with no need for PS Plus....

Today, however, Sony has decided to get out in front of any additional rumors and confirm which features will be making the PS4’s launch date. And, as it turns out, most of the console’s more exciting features will be available in November. The one caveat to this news is that gamers must first download a 300MB Day 1 Patch before they gain access to these features. It’s not uncommon for a new console to feature a substantial patch on launch day — the Xbox One will also have one — but it definitely means that the PS4 hardware is coming in hot off the assembly line....

Starting today, PS4 owners will finally be able to enjoy the fruits of their premium cable subscription with the new HBO Go app. It’s been a long time coming for the union of PlayStation 4 and HBO Go, and finally our dreams of watching Game of Thrones Season 5 directly from the console will be realized. Since its release, the game stayed as an exclusive to Xbox One when it comes to the fourth-generation consoles. However, there have always been whispers about a PlayStation 4 port of the ever-popular PUBG. For starters, should a PS4 player wish to sign up for Update 4.0’s beta, one will need to be at least 18 years old and have an Internet-connected console, in addition to having access to a Master Account on the system. Should Sony accept fans into the test and have them install the update, they will be able to revert to the current 3.55 firmware whenever they desire. Unfortunately, Sony has yet to reveal exactly what the PS4’s Update 4....

World Wrestling Entertainment announced Okerlund’s death on its website Wednesday. Okerlund’s son, Tor Okerlund, told The Associated Press that his father died early Wednesday at a hospital in Sarasota, Florida, near his home in Osprey, Florida, with his wife, Jeanne, by his side.
